Hello, my name is Kim and I am speaking to you from Little Rock California. One of my recent Thanksgiving camping trips was foiled due to a failure in my New Process 241 Transfer Case. This is a 1990 Chevrolet K3500 Pick Up truck that I purchased new. It has around 200,00 miles in it. It has a 14 bolt rear end. I have replaced the front independent front suspension with a Dana 60 up here. This happens to be a Ford Dana 60, so that the drive is on the driver side versus the passenger side. This is a Turbo 400 transmission thats going to mate to the new transfer case. After extensive research about this transfer case, this one here i’ve never had any problems with until this failure at thanksgiving. I did much research and found a company called Monster Transmissions, that does a few extra goodies in these transfer cases when they rebuild them. I’m gunna show you the two transfer cases here, The one on the left is obviously the one I took out of the truck. If you look closely you can see a large crack in the actual aluminum casing, when the thing exploded it actually busted the casing. So what i did is called Monster Transmission, and they, In fact I called them on Cyber Monday and I received a 20% discount on this transfer case. What they’re gunna be asking you for is there’s a name tag on the back of this transfer case. You can see that round circle right there, It’s a little easier to see on the old one because it’s red. But all that information is the year it was built, the ratio, etc. . So they’re gunna want all this information. Now a gal named Kelly, that I spoke to there, followed up after I placed the order. She wanted to confirm that i was actually driving the front differential on the driver side not on the passenger side, because I had told the original sales fella that I had put a Dana 60 in the front, so she called and confirmed that. And actually made another follow up call, very impressive company. There were several e-mails sent to me, giving me the progress on the transfer case. It was turned around in about, They build them as you order them, so it took about 5 days to get the transfer case. This new process 241 transfer case, after doing some research on this, there’s a portion of the oil pump i guess in here that can rub a hole in the aluminum casing. I mentioned that to Monster Transmission and they actually are well aware of that and they reinforce the inside of this case prior to building the transfer case for you, to assure that you will never have that problem. Very professional company, I would highly recommend them. The transfer case is an exact replacement to the on that I took out. One last thing is the shipping container it came in. I was thoroughly impressed with this, this is not a cardboard box that it came in. This is actually a plastic container that the transfer case was shipped to me in. The whole company from start to finish was first class, and I am very pleased with the product.
I have this transmission behind a 351w making 475 hp and 480 lb/feet of torque. It showed up packaged very neatly and since it was around Christmas, it was spruced up with Christmas decorations. This demonstrates the level of commitment to quality and customer service. Any time I called the company, they were pleasant and helpful. Now to how the transmission functions: this is my second built AOD and this one is so much smoother than the other. I picked the level 2 shift option and it isn’t as snappy as I expected but I am glad that it’s this way since the car is a cruiser and not whipping my head back when cruising around town at regular speeds is desirable. When banging through the gears manually, the car shifts right when you shift like they advertise and unlike my other built AOD. Tweaking the TV cable/pressure was easy with their included instructions. When putting my foot in it, it has no issues revving out. The bottom line is this: the car shifts and acts like a tame OEM transmission when cruising but likes to run and rev hard. I recommend Monster Transmission!

Monster Transmission is a great company to do business with. The trans came packed up very well in the crate. The transmission itself looks to be a very quality rebuild. I will definitely buy my next transmission from them.

I’ve had the transmission in the truck (97 c1500 crew cab conversion) for a couple months and put about 3500 miles on it with no issues. Ordered with a 2300-2500 stall, cooler, and stage 2 shift kit. Its in a 5100lbs truck behind 350-375 hp (carbed, mild cam vortec headed sbc) with 3.90s out back and I blow the soot out of it daily. Shifts just as good as the night I put it in. No changes in firmness at all. I was told it would be 4-5 weeks before I would get it and I got it in a little over a week. Im very pleased with the customer service, quality, and perfomance of the transmission. Cant beat the price (especially with a discount code) for a transmission thats road tested before you get it.

Great product. Rebuilt, cleaned very well. Delivered in a solid case. The plastic o ring retainer on the shift selector was not fully seated but took a half a second to fix with a screwdriver to seat it the rest of the way. Other than that, essentially a brand new tcase. I would like a different core policy but I understand the difficulty. I was told not to worry returning my core since I had a crack in a case half, so I’m eating the 350. The sales person was excellent and she knew her jeeps so that inspired confidence. They had a tcase rebuilt and delivered relatively fast. All in a great experience and would fully recommend MT. I installed my SYE from previous tcase so I was able to inspect the gears, guides, chain, bearings etc. It’s all new equipment and done great. I’ve got around 1200 miles on the tcase and it’s doing great. Thanks!
Loved it. It was great. The kit came with everything I needed. Once I got it all back together in the car it was awesome in the car. I’m very glad with the kit and happy. Thank you. Jeremy Hancock
One excellent transmission. Easy to install. No problems. I’m very much happy to be doing business with you and I’ll be doing business with you in the future. Thank you very much. David Ports
I called this morning with a problem I had with shifting in my 4L60E transmission that I bought from you guys about a year ago and they very successfully resolved the issue and they sent me the necessary part that I need to correct that along with the instructions to install it, etc. So that worked out all very well. Other than that one little problem, everything else with the installation in my 80 El Camino has been going very well and I thank you for the good service. Jack Corrick
The transfer case worked really well. No problems. Had it in in a couple of hours. We’ll be doing more business with you. Thanks! Jim
I received my actual speedo housing in the mail and it was missing one piece. Once I got ahold of Steve in the technical area, he helped me out a great deal and got that part to me within a day. So thanks and I appreciate it. This is my first purchase and I’m very pleased with the customer service I received on this purchase. Thank you, Leon
